Dance By Design opened in 2024 to offer students a well-rounded dance education in a place that values worship and praise. We offer a wide variety of dance classes to suit dancers of every age, experience level and interest. All classes and workshops are taught by dance industry professionals. Here at Dance By Design, dance isn’t just an activity, it’s a way of life.
Our Teachers
All of our teachers are professional dancers who have a passion for dance, and for teaching others to dance. In addition to being highly accomplished in their fields, they are also energetic, positive and caring people.
Rebekah Lou - Studio Owner
Rebekah holds a Master's degree in Dance Education and has been dancing since she was four years old. She has taught dance for the last 10+ years, in styles including ballet, tap, acro, jazz, and modern. In 2024, she opened Dance By Design to build the studio she always dreamed of — one where students receive expert dance training in an environment centered on faith, worship, and genuine community. When she's not in the studio, you'll find her wandering the aisles of her favorite local bookstore..
Mykah Hargesheimer - Studio Director
Mykah has been dancing her whole life and has taught for the last 10+ years, specializing in ballet, tap, acro, jazz, and modern. As Studio Director, she brings energy, warmth, and a genuine love for every dancer who walks through the door — making sure each student feels seen, encouraged, and excited to grow. Outside the studio, she's a proud mom who loves soaking up beach days with her family.

What ages/skill levels do you teach?
We welcome dancers ages 3 to 18, from their very first plié to advanced technique. Our classes are grouped by age and ability, so every dancer is learning alongside kids at a similar stage.
What styles of dance do you offer?
We offer ballet, jazz, tap, acro, and more — so your child can explore different styles and find what they love most.
How do I know which class is right for my child?
Not sure where to start? No problem — our teachers are happy to help assess your child's age, experience, and interests to find the class that's the perfect fit.
